KFC is bringing out the fire with the new hot wings. You can try them at the Tri State KFC Locations and let us know what you think. But be aware they are really FIERY! Interestingly enough, KFC has even marketed the new wings in some Indiana towns on local fire hydrants. Creative marketing strategies are all around- KFC starting with advertising on potholes a few months ago and now fire hydrants! In an effort to promote fire safety and repair local roads, KFC is putting the word out there and contributing to the community. And lets face it- it Seems like the perfect place to promote these hot wings-- you may need a hydrant after your first bite! So I came across this photo today of a new KFC sandwich being tested out in 2 states this month. I am not sure whether we can predict how it will perform. Two fried chicken breasts with cheese, bacon, and a special KFC sauce in between. I am trying to get some feedback about what people are thinking about this particular product.
Launching the grilled chicken this year helped head KFC in a more health conscious direction, but this blows the winds of change in the opposite direction. Which direction is the world heading? And what will we eat when we get there? In these hard economic times, Tri State KFC knows that comfort food is sometimes the best remedy to a bad day. What is better than some fried chicken and mashed potatoes with gravy? Replacing sandwich bread with fried chicken though? What do you think?
I think its good to have multiple options on the menu to satisfy a wide variety of customers and giving people the option to eat what they want is what our country is all about. You have the freedom to order from the KFC menu whatever you are in the mood for. We have options that suit all chicken lovers alike.
On an opposite note, our August email coupon only ended up making it to the first 100 people who signed up so far. The rest are rolling out soon. So stay tuned.

On Tuesday, July 21st we're hosting a job fair at our home office in Ashland Kentucky. We are hiring for all positions at all levels and welcome you to come and check out what Tri State KFC is all about. We know times are tough and the job market is competitive, but we are hiring qualified candidates now. The job fair will be just an open interview on a first come first serve basis. We will start at 10 am and finish at 2pm.

On the day of the coupon release (we're shooting for July 15th), we will release to our followers through the two outlets. Working for Tri State Kentucky Fried Chicken provides you the opportunity to be on staff with a company that values its employees. Our newest employee incentive program provides our KFC staff members with the opportunity to earn Chicken Bucks (C Bucks) for going over and beyond their expected duties. The company allows RGMs and above are allowed to issue these C Bucks, which can be accumulated over a period of time. Once an employee has received a given amount of C Bucks they can come to the website and visit our C Bay page.
C Bay includes a variety of items from $25 gift cards to 4 King's Island tickets. You can check out all the items available on the website. Kentucky Fried Chicken is making all kinds of changes- not only in their product selection, but in their marketing strategies as well. KFC is joining the ranks of other big time companies by entering the world of social media. The National Franchise is currently running a special promotion on their MySpace Page, offering the winner of a video contest a lifetime of free grilled chicken, as well as creating a presence on Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook.
Here at TriState KFC we are getting in on the action too. In an attempt to become more accessible to our local customers, we have gotten in on the new wave of internet communication. Oprah has endorsed the KFC Grilled Chicken product and people have flocked to her website to download a coupon for their free meal! First of all, it is amazing how much power Oprah has to influence consumers. Second of all, it is amazing how much positive feedback we are getting on the grilled chicken product.
